The procedure

CAD-CAM technology is a computer-assisted ceramic restoration technique. First, your dentist will use a digital impression camera to take images of your tooth and transfer them to software to virtually create the final restoration. The information is then sent to the machining unit, which meticulously carves your crown from a block of ceramic.
Once the crown is complete, your dentist will make the necessary adjustments and finish the restoration. The crown is now ready to be placed in the mouth during the same appointment.
